This Privacy Policy explains how Haver Technologies Private Limited ("Haver Technologies Private Limited", "we", "us", or "our"), the company that operates the Mitro platform (the "Service" or "Mitro"), collects, uses, shares, and protects information about you when you use our website, mobile products, and related services.

By using Mitro, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. Throughout this Policy, references to "Mitro" are to the product and service; the data controller and legal entity responsible for your information is Haver Technologies Private Limited.

1. Information we collect

Haver Technologies Private Limited collects information you provide directly and information generated by your use of the Service:

• Account information: full name, phone number, email address, city, age range, gender (optional), and profile photo.
• Profile & preference data: lifestyle preferences, budget, move-in dates, occupation/education, sleep and cleanliness habits, food preferences, guest and pet preferences, and other information you choose to share.
• Communications: messages you send through Mitro, feedback you provide, and support requests.
• Verification data: phone verification codes (OTPs) and, where applicable, identity documents you voluntarily submit for verification.
• Usage & device data: IP address, device type, browser, operating system, referring URLs, pages visited, and interaction logs.

2. How we use your information

Haver Technologies Private Limited uses your information to:

• Create and manage your Mitro account and profile.
• Match you with compatible flatmates and relevant flats.
• Send you service-related messages, matches, and updates — including via WhatsApp, SMS, and email.
• Verify identity and prevent fraud, spam, and misuse.
• Improve the Service, run analytics, and develop new features.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

3. WhatsApp messaging consent and opt-out

By providing your phone number and opting in on Mitro, you consent to receive messages from Haver Technologies Private Limited on WhatsApp related to your account, matches, verification, and service updates. These messages are sent via the WhatsApp Business Platform in accordance with Meta's policies.

You can opt out of WhatsApp messages from Mitro at any time by:

• Replying STOP to any Mitro WhatsApp message.
• Turning off WhatsApp notifications in your Mitro account settings.
• Emailing us at clubmitro@gmail.com.

Opting out will not remove essential account-security messages (for example, OTPs required to log in), which are sent only when strictly necessary.

4. How we share information

Haver Technologies Private Limited keeps sharing to the minimum required to run the Service. We do not sell your personal data. We share information only:

• With other Mitro users to the limited extent needed to enable matching (for example, your first name, city, and preference summary — never your phone number or email without your explicit action).
• With trusted service providers who process data on our behalf (for example, cloud hosting, SMS/WhatsApp delivery, analytics, and email) under contractual confidentiality obligations with Haver Technologies Private Limited.
• When required by law, valid legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Haver Technologies Private Limited, our users, or the public.
• In connection with a business transaction such as a merger, acquisition, or asset sale involving Haver Technologies Private Limited, subject to appropriate confidentiality safeguards.

5. Data storage and security

Your data is stored on secure servers with reputable cloud infrastructure providers engaged by Haver Technologies Private Limited. We use industry-standard measures — including encryption in transit (TLS), access controls, and audit logging — to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we take our responsibility to safeguard your data seriously.

Mitro uses cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, understand how the Service is used, and measure performance. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect functionality.

• Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.

Typically, account data is deleted or anonymized within 12 months of account closure, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

9. Children

Mitro is not intended for individuals under 18. Haver Technologies Private Limited does not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. International users

The Service is operated by Haver Technologies Private Limited from India. If you access it from outside India, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in India, which may have different data-protection laws than your jurisdiction.

11. Changes to this policy

Haver Technologies Private Limited may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified via the Service or by email. Continued use of Mitro after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
